This is sane behaviour when you look at the returns from property over the last 10 years. Unfortunately it means that a lot of our financial talent is looking in the wrong direction from an IT startup point of view. Next time I'll do a quick call first to make sure there is a glimmer of interest! There is also no harm in getting to know all the faces for when they do decide tech is safe again (presumably when the property bubble bursts).
